Our partners at DDB were faced with featuring 9 high-profile personas via 1 video-driven web experience. YourGED.org needed an ‘A List’ upgrade and they needed it fast. The production would require 5 different location shoots to accommodate the busy celebrity schedules. Not only would the vendor need to shoot and edit, but expertise in terms of HTML5 and mobile usability was paramount.
Picnic worked directly with the Ad Council and DDB to ensure a seamless deployment under a tight timeline. Our initial task was to incorporate touch, tab, and zoom features into the newly designed UI. An adaptive, mobile-1st mindset was a must to effectively reach the GED demographic. Next, Picnic took special care to ensure the celebrity ‘PepTalks” performed flawlessly across all major web, tablet, and smartphone browsers. Vimeo integration and optimization was key to delivering HD content in near real-time. Lastly, Picnic would incorporate a clickable support desk dialing feature, as well as, a dynamic Google maps locator in both English and Spanish.
